CONTENT GENERATOR:Sales Person OPPORTUNITY
Alfalfa Content Generator is looking for a consultant in the sales department, who will be responsible for growing the client-base starting with agencies around South Africa. This position is about building relationships and becoming a trusted advisor in order to achieve sales.
This is a full-time position based in Rivonia, Johannesburg.
Key competencies
- Knowledge – This person needs to understand the online marketing world and in particular, how online content fits into it.
- The basics – adept in writing emails and proposals. A fair knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to communicate professionally
- Soft skills –This person needs to have the confidence and resilience to shake off the proverbial “no” and the people skills to turn a no into a “yes”.
- Personal skills – Professional, innovative, organised and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial drive.
- Driven – sales is unlike any other job, you need to get out there and get noticed, ultimately creating relationships that pay dividends over time.
Main activities and responsibilities
- Generate and qualify leads, mainly with marketing/advertising agencies within South Africa
- Source and develop client referrals
- Prepare sales action plans and strategies
- Maintain a customer database
- Develop and maintain sales and promotional materials
- Make sales calls to new clients
- Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
- Respond to sales enquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
- Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
This person will need a car and a valid drivers license in the event you need to visit a client
