Agile Project Manager Opportunity

Published 02/06/2015 Contract Type Permanent Location Gauteng >> Hyde Park Introduction In this pivotal role you`ll manage the delivery of a diverse range of software development
projects ranging from application development to web site design and build, using
combinations of waterfall and agile methodology. The role involves a high level of interaction
with external and internal clients, as well as the project and development teams in which
you`ll be an integral part. You`ll also play an active role in the development of juniors and
less experienced members of the project team.
Job Functions Information Technology Industries Digital Specification RESPONSIBILITIES
 Introduce best practice project management processes and procedures with
management to better deliver client projects.
 You`ll be required to manage budgets and ensure delivery within agreed timescales
and budgets to multiple clients.
 You`ll ensure the quality of Sprint deliverables, managing the project budgets and
resources, whilst reporting back to the wider business and or clients.
 You`ll use your proven people skills to communicate effectively with customers and
colleagues
 Managing resource schedules and availability
 You`ll help define the client requirements and create initial proposals, whilst ensuring
the agreed proposals and your Sprint planning remains on track
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
 Tertiary qualification or significant industry experience
 Thorough understanding of the fundamental principles behind Agile approaches with
first-hand experience of Agile projects
 In depth knowledge of one or more Agile project management frameworks
preferably Scrum
 Be able to relate to both business and technology people
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
 Workshop leadership and facilitation, including Agile retrospectives
 Expert at gathering and communicating Agile metrics
 Agile mentoring and coaching skills
 Experience with Jira/Chase/TFS
 Project Management qualification
