About the Role

As a Clinic Receptionist at Dis-Chem Paarl Mall, you will be the first point of contact for patients, both in person and on the phone. Key Responsibilities

• Register patients according to Dis-Chem standards and assist them with medical forms, including insurance paperwork

• Open new patient files and handle medical aid payments
• Manage patient flow according to scheduled appointments
• Obtain medical reports when necessary

• Accurately take and relay messages, confirming details with callers to avoid errors
• Assist walk-in guests with meetings or deliveries and provide relevant contact information as needed
• Help patients in distress and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Advise patients on medical aid authorization procedures and follow up on feedback requests

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification is essential
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow and give clear instructions

• Primarily desk-based work at a dedicated workstation
• Clear criminal and credit records (MIE)
