About the Role
As a Branch Service Official, you will be responsible for delivering frontline banking services in line with ABSA’s operational excellence standards. Your role will ensure clients receive accurate, efficient, and friendly service from the first point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Serve customers with professionalism and empathy at the frontline
- Financial Transactions: Accurately capture and process all financial transactions on ABSA’s banking systems
- Authorisations: Ensure transactions are authorised by a mandated official before processing
- Fraud Prevention: Identify suspicious or potentially fraudulent activities and report according to the Money Laundering control framework
- Customer Data Management: Update and manage customer records including demographic changes, name updates, and standing order instructions
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all operational procedures and regulatory requirements
