YES Youth Opportunity at Foschini Table Bay in Western Cape
Foschini has announced a new opening under the YES Youth Employment initiative at Table Bay, Western Cape. The program offers young South Africans a chance to gain valuable work experience in the retail sector, with a 12-month contract designed to boost career prospects.
What the Opportunity Offers
The YES Youth programme is aimed at equipping unemployed youth with practical skills and exposure to the workplace. At Foschini, participants will be part of a fast-paced retail environment, learning customer service, sales, and store operations. This can be the first step toward building a long-term career in retail or related fields.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Table Bay placement, applicants must meet specific criteria. These include:
- Age between 18 and 28 years
- At least Grade 10, though a Matric certificate is preferable
- Availability to work on a fixed 12-month contract
- Not having been employed permanently with a single employer for more than one year
- Not enrolled in full-time studies during the contract period (April 2025 to March 2026)
- Not previously registered on the YES programme
- Willingness to cover personal accommodation and transport costs if required
Preference will be given to applicants from designated groups in line with the Employment Equity Act.
