Role Purpose

The Junior Sales Representative will support sales efforts by generating new business, managing inbound leads, and assisting in pipeline development. You will work closely with senior sales and technical teams to gain practical exposure to enterprise cybersecurity solutions while building foundational sales skills.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation (Outbound)

  • Conduct cold calls to potential clients to introduce managed cybersecurity solutions
  • Execute targeted email outreach with clear value propositions
  • Research potential clients, identify decision-makers, and understand basic business needs

Inbound Lead Management

  • Follow up promptly on inbound leads from marketing campaigns, website enquiries, and referrals
  • Qualify leads to assess urgency, fit, and requirements
  • Manage a high volume of inbound responses efficiently

Client Engagement & Sales Support

  • Schedule meetings and demos for senior sales or technical specialists
  • Maintain follow-up with prospects to build relationships
  • Ensure smooth handover to senior team members for technical discussions

Product Knowledge & Sales Enablement

  • Develop working knowledge of SaaS and managed cybersecurity solutions
  • Understand key value propositions, differentiators, and common client objections
  • Communicate product benefits confidently at an introductory level

Sales Administration & Team Collaboration

  • Log all activities and interactions accurately in the CRM system
  • Maintain high data accuracy for reporting and forecasting
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and pre-sales teams to enhance the customer experience

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCom Information Systems / Infosec), Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

Experience

  • Internship or part-time experience in customer-facing, sales, or technology roles is advantageous

Skills

  • Strong verbal communication and professional phone presence
  • Clear written communication for email outreach
  • Comfortable engaging new people and initiating conversations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interest in technology and cybersecurity (training provided)
