Retail Change Agent Opportunity at TFG Tygervalley

TFG is offering a 12-month internship for a Retail Change Agent based in Tygervalley, Western Cape. This programme is designed for young, motivated individuals eager to develop skills in retail operations, technology systems, and employee engagement. The role provides hands-on experience in supporting change initiatives at store level while building expertise in TFG’s systems, applications, and products.

Position Purpose

The Retail Change Agent acts as a bridge between store employees and TFG’s corporate systems. You will provide on-the-ground support, encourage effective communication, and help stores adopt new technologies and processes. This role involves learning and sharing knowledge, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that employees are confident in using the tools and systems available to them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all prescribed courses on TFG’s learning platform to develop system and product knowledge
  • Support stores in learning new systems and applications
  • Drive and facilitate change at the individual and store level
  • Provide guidance to store employees, answer queries, and resolve challenges
  • Show employees where to find learning materials and assist with troubleshooting
  • Escalate questions, concerns, or system issues to the appropriate channels
  • Maintain close relationships with store staff and field leadership teams to share important updates and changes
  • Travel between stores when required and work retail hours as needed
  • Prepare and deliver a brief PowerPoint presentation as part of the interview process for shortlisted candidates

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Retail-related degree or diploma (original certificate required)
  • Matric certificate (original required)
  • South African citizen between 20 and 27 years of age
  • Currently unemployed and available to commit to the 12-month internship
