Clicks Group is looking for four Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join the team at Clicks Kyalami Corner in Midrand, Gauteng. The Shop Assistant / Cashier will work directly with customers at the point of sale while also supporting general store operations. Job Overview
The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for delivering service excellence through efficient point-of-sale operations, customer service and merchandising activities. Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases efficiently and accurately at the point of sale.
- Scan merchandise correctly and ensure that all transactions are completed according to company procedures.
- Collect and process payments accurately.
- Handle cash responsibly and follow all cash-handling procedures.
- Action Clicks ClubCard rewards accurately during customer transactions.
- Proactively promote Clicks ClubCard and encourage customers to register as new members.
- Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Help customers understand promotions that can improve their shopping experience and value.
- Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service at all times.
- Act as a positive brand ambassador for Clicks.
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence on the shop floor and at the point of sale.
- Assist customers with product-related queries within your level of knowledge.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, ranges, promotions and events.
- Support merchandising activities according to store and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist with general housekeeping to ensure that the store remains clean, organised and customer-ready.
- Follow stock management and merchandising procedures.
- Follow all company instructions and standard operating procedures.

Requirements and Skills
- Grade 12 is essential.
- Grade 12 Mathematics at 50% is desirable.
- Grade 12 English at 50% is desirable.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG store environment will be advantageous.
