Job description

Please note: working hours: 6am – 3pm

Our client is a web design and digital marketing company. They are currently looking for an experienced and very senior head of digital production.

You’ll need to manage and oversee all elements of digital production and operations. They are looking for someone who has who has handfuls of digital and through-the-line agency experience and who thrives on all kinds of digital challenges.

As head of production, your role will be:

– Establishing and maintenance of job role seniority and reporting lines
– The development and optimisation of systems and processes
– Take accountability for planning and managing project resources and activities
– Ensure these projects are delivered against budget, scope and timing constraints
– Approach all digital projects from a financial, strategic, commercial, analytical and technical perspective
– Work across a variety of digital platforms – including web design and social media
– Produce accurate, timely and functional project plans and change management documents for each project
– Conduct and manage project risk assessments and define mitigation strategies
– Oversee the workflow in both internal production and external clients
– Work closely with the traffic manager to ensure budgets and timings are met and projects are completed within scope
– Keep all the teams informed through status and scoping meetings
– Manage all stakeholder expectations against spec and budget
– Implement and maintain strict project documentation and archiving
– Apply a systematic and analytical approach in the management of our software systems and operations in general
– Drive and monitor innovation projects
– Create and maintain team KPA’s/KPI’s and regularly review
– Provide regular feedback and reports to senior management and the board as requested


What you’ll need:

– At least eight to ten years’ experience at agencies, experience in digital agencies a big plus
– Proven track record in your field
– Appropriate degree/tertiary qualification
– Experience in all touch points/elements of digital – from web design right through to traffic and project management/support
– Experience in managing staff

It would be great if you also had an understanding of:

– WordPress based websites and other web page building tools: Pagelines, Headlines and Genesis as examples

– The ability to work with technical teams and liaise with non-technical individuals – Passionate about all things digital
