Job Overview

As a Frontshop Assistant, you’ll be responsible for ensuring shelves are fully stocked, merchandise is presented neatly, and customer service is delivered with professionalism and care. This role requires someone who is energetic, organized, and detail-oriented, with a passion for helping customers and maintaining retail standards.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, candidates must have:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• 0–6 months retail work experience

Beneficial Experience

While not required, candidates with the following will have an added advantage:

• 1 year of experience in a retail environment
• Familiarity with merchandising standards and the FMCG industry
• Knowledge of planograms and category-specific products
• A second or third language

Key Responsibilities

• Restock and rotate products according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles
• Maintain shelf presentation and ensure correct labeling and pricing
• Keep storerooms tidy and report low or damaged stock
• Build, stock, and maintain merchandising displays
• Support stocktaking processes and flatten boxes after unpacking deliveries
• Provide helpful, friendly assistance to customers on the shop floor
• Follow up on stock and pricing queries from customers
• Handle all stock with care to prevent losses
• Wear the correct uniform and name badge daily
• Assist with the training of new staff when required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area

Special Conditions of Employment
