Young Professional-in-Training (LLB) Opportunity at Transnet Pipelines

Transnet Pipelines is inviting recent law graduates to join its Young Professional-in-Training (YPT) programme. This 24-month structured training opportunity is based in Durban Central and aims to provide practical workplace experience to develop your legal career.

Position Purpose
The programme offers hands-on learning and exposure across various functions. It supports graduates with mentorship and organisational resources to build skills relevant to corporate and governance law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shadow experienced staff, participate in workshops, and attend meetings to gain practical experience.
  • Communicate with internal clients to understand their needs and urgency, providing regular updates.
  • Address queries efficiently and to client satisfaction.
  • Assist with research, general administration, and legal support tasks.
  • Follow instructions from mentors to deliver quality work.
  • Execute project tasks independently and collaboratively.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality outputs that contribute to effective project solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Law with focus on Corporate and Governance.
  • 0 to 1 year relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.

Competencies Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
