Buyer – Oil/Gas Opportunity

Do you have solid experience as a buyer in the oil and gas/logistics industry?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an international company and be based in Cape Town.

Duties:

• Maintain key accounts with clients
• Regularly attending meetings with clients and as required undertaking presentations
• Assisting in marketing tasks
• Liaise with the key members of staff both onshore and offshore to ensure their needs are met and that supply of goods and services is to their satisfaction
• Source and supply goods from enquiry stage to dispatch
• Supply expediting reports as requested
• Source and buy items for stock as required
• Prepare quotes and contracts
• Ensure QA requirements are met – data sheets, test certificates to be supplied with relevant goods
• Daily contact with customers
• Liaise with staff in the buying/sales department, other CIS staff

Requirements:

• Matric plus own vehicle
• Experience in oil/gas industry – essential
• Knowledge of customer accounts / products
• Previous experience in buying
• Relevant academic qualifications
• Good telephone manner/interpersonal skills
• Build sound relationships with customers/suppliers
• Strong communication skills
• Salary: R20 – 25k plus medical aid, pension contribution
