Ster-Kinekor Theatres Pty Ltd is calling on energetic, customer-oriented individuals to apply for the Multi Skilled Employee position based at its Southgate branch in Soweto, Gauteng. This fixed-term contract role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of South Africa’s entertainment industry.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of functions across the cinema, including cashier duties, catering sales, ticket collections, cinema assistance, food preparation, and general floor support. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a cashier at box office sales, catering points, and collections
- Prepare food and beverages such as popcorn and slushies to Ster-Kinekor’s quality standards
- Assist with theatre readiness including poster updates, age restriction displays, and promotional material presentation
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness in all areas, including kitchens and storerooms
- Ensure products are sealed, stored, and handled safely
- Maintain personal presentation and wear correct uniform at all times
- Adhere to health and safety (H&S) protocols and submit necessary reports
- Represent Ster-Kinekor positively in all interactions with guests and team members
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification
- 0–1 years of experience in a similar customer-facing role
- Basic understanding of MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of VISTA system would be advantageous
