Job Overview

The Shop Assistant / Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing point-of-sale operations, and supporting store merchandising. Candidates will act as brand ambassadors, ensuring customers enjoy a positive shopping experience while promoting Clicks products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale.
Scan merchandise and collect payments accurately, including processing clubcard rewards.
Ensure safe handling of cash at all times.
Promote the Clicks Clubcard and enroll new members to meet participation targets.
Inform customers about promotions to drive sales and enhance satisfaction.
Maintain store merchandising and housekeeping standards.
Stay updated on product knowledge, promotions, and events to assist customers effectively.
Support the Group’s vision to be the preferred health and beauty retailer.

Requirements

Grade 12 certificate; Maths and English at 50% or higher is desirable.
Experience in a customer-facing role within retail or FMCG is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of stock management, merchandising, and promotions.
Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Numeracy and computer literacy.
Customer-focused with the ability to deliver results under pressure.
