Key Responsibilities

• Execute all point-of-sale (POS) activities accurately and efficiently, ensuring that customer transactions are completed within the required timeframes.
• Scan merchandise correctly and collect payments for goods purchased by customers.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy when processing transactions and actioning Clicks ClubCard rewards.
• Handle cash safely and responsibly in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard and assist with enrolling new members to help the store achieve its membership participation targets.
• Inform customers about current promotions, special offers and relevant products to support sales and improve the shopping experience.
• Deliver excellent customer service by acting as a Clicks brand ambassador and providing friendly, professional assistance.
• Remain visible and approachable in the store so that customers can easily access help when needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, product ranges, promotions and store events to provide accurate information to customers.
• Assist customers with product enquiries and direct them to suitable products when required.
• Carry out merchandising duties according to Clicks’ store standards and visual merchandising requirements.
• Maintain attractive and organised product displays to ensure merchandise is presented appropriately.
• Complete general housekeeping duties to keep the store clean, tidy and ready for customers.
• Follow stock management procedures and assist with maintaining proper product presentation and availability.
• Follow operational instructions and established procedures when performing cashiering and merchandising duties.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and management to support efficient store operations, especially during busy festive trading periods.

Requirements and Skills

• Grade 12 or Matric certificate is essential.
