Job description
Our client a media agency is looking for a BUH or a senior media strategist keen to take the leap, with at least eight years’ experience in media strategy development is essential.
- Hold responsibility for delivery of service
- Schedule and attend client meetings
- Manage client relationship
- Maintain key stakeholder relationships (agencies, brands, portfolios)
- Develop negotiation strategy in conjunction with client/BUH
- Manage major media owner negotiation
- Manage the performance of the team and all aspects of scope
- Management of the portfolio in a way that consistently achieves all the requirements of client contract
- Maintenance of a high level of staff motivation and proficiency in unit
- Ensuring that managers are updated regularly on all aspects of the business of client
- Chairing of client review meetings, media presentations
- Budgetary responsibility (achievement of revenue and adherence to budgets) for client
- Target group and gain understanding of the marketplace, major competitors and their communications, competitive threats and opportunities
- Obtain clear brief from channel analysis and prioritisation based on client segmentation. Translation of the marketing target groups into media target groups
- Recommend media mix and timing of all media budget setting. Establish effective frequency levels and corresponding budget thresholds to meet communication objectives
- Produce a comprehensive annual plan detailing the media selection and media weight behind each campaign
- Present strategy to client
- Mentoring planners
