Based within the head office in Randburg of this medium-sized business enterprise, you will be tasked with the development of new business on the African continent.

Nature of business:

  • The company is involved in the import and distribution of industrial, “ruggedized” products into Africa
  • The company specialises in the support, implementation and provision of network communication backbones for major vertical markets such as Power, Rail, Mining, Marine, CCTV, Solar, Wind and Water
  • Applicants need a proven track record in the ability and skills to work proactively and independently in an ever-changing fast-paced environment

Industry Experience Required:

  • Industrial automation industry
  • Industrial infrastructure solutions
  • Smart grid applications, such as renewable energy, substation transition and distribution
  • Understanding of the engineering background
  • Some understanding of PoE based solutions
  • Selling, designing, supporting, and implementing the above solutions

Minimum qualifications:

  • Diploma or N+ Course
  • Computer / IT / Networking background
  • Experience in procurements utilising software (SAP software an advantage)
  • Sound experience in presentations (use of software) and training
  • Sound understanding of industrial solution, industrial computing, serial connectivity, IP surveillance and remote Automation
  • Understanding of industrial solution, industrial computing, serial connectivity, IP surveillance and remote Automation
  • Confident and eloquent communication (English)
  • Minimum of 4 years’ external sales experience in the industrial automation industry
  • Must be a South African Citizen with ID and valid passport
  • Ability to travel in Africa

Job duties and responsibilities :

  • Quotations (and weekly follow-ups)
  • Liaising with customers (daily)
  • Data capturing into CRM system and Invoicing
  • Conduct research (products, updates, customers and industries)
  • Create achievable sales targets and achieve weekly meeting targets
  • Attend tender meetings
  • Travel into Africa and grow the African market

Salary on Offer:

The salary on offer Is R 35,000 Basic – Plus lucrative commission potential
