Based at the Gugulethu Colliery in the Msukaligwa Local Municipality, Mpumalanga, this internship is part of Canyon Coal’s ongoing commitment to youth development and skills transfer within the mining sector.
Internship Details

This programme is structured to provide in-depth, hands-on experience to help bridge the gap between academic studies and real-world application in the mining and engineering environment.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the internship, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Hold a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID
- Be aged between 18 and 35 years
- Be computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office Suite
Preference Will Be Given To:
- Individuals residing in the Msukaligwa area
- People with disabilities
- Female candidates, as part of Canyon Coal’s employment equity commitment
