Job Description
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that customers receive outstanding service while supporting daily store operations and driving sales. You’ll be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering a top-tier shopping experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Exceeding customer expectations through professional and friendly service
- Meeting and surpassing individual sales targets
- Driving store performance by identifying sales opportunities
- Maintaining store appearance and visual merchandising standards
- Processing transactions using cash, cards, and vouchers
- Handling loyalty cards and accelerated partner rewards
- Assisting with customer stock queries and providing product advice
- Reporting compliments and complaints to management
- Adhering to stock loss control procedures
- Contributing to a positive, energetic in-store atmosphere
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Up to 6 months of retail experience
- South African citizenship
- Willingness and availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Clear credit and criminal record
Preferred candidates will also demonstrate:
- Honesty and integrity in handling transactions
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A passion for retail and the outdoor lifestyle
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Up to 1 year of retail experience (advantageous)
- Familiarity with current fashion and outdoor trends
