About the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Trainee Programme
The WIL Non-Technical Learner Programme allows participants to apply academic knowledge in a real-world workplace. Trainees gain experience across operational, administrative, and project-based functions. The programme emphasizes practical learning through shadowing experienced professionals, attending workshops, and engaging in problem-solving activities. Participants develop key workplace competencies such as teamwork, communication, and analytical skills while contributing to meaningful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Trainees will be expected to support multiple areas within the TPT Planning department. Core responsibilities include:
- Task Execution: Assist in departmental projects, perform routine operational tasks under supervision, and support administrative functions including documentation and reporting.
- Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, mentorship programmes, and shadow professionals to gain industry insights.
- Communication & Collaboration: Interact with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, provide regular updates on tasks, and serve as a contact point for queries.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow company policies and safety procedures, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical standards.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct market research, data collection, and analysis; prepare reports and presentations using MS Office; assist in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Matric certificate/equivalent
- N6 in Transport & Logistics or Business Management
- South African citizen aged 18–35
- Preference given to People with Disabilities
- No existing bursary obligation with another company
- Submission of certified Matric certificate, academic record, ID copy, and TVET college experiential learning letter
