Rosebank International, part of The Independent Institute of Education under the ADvTECH Group, is offering two Legal Intern positions in Johannesburg. This internship forms part of a structured Legal Internship Programme designed to give law graduates practical exposure within an in house legal environment. You will work closely with experienced legal professionals and gain hands on experience in contract governance, legal research, compliance and regulatory support within the higher education sector.
Job Overview And Responsibilities
• Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts and legal agreements
• Support the preparation of legal opinions, correspondence and reports
• Maintain contract templates and assist with contract governance processes
• Conduct legal research on legislation, case law and regulatory frameworks
• Summarise judgments, legal articles and statutory developments
• Prepare legal memoranda, research notes and briefing documents
• Support case preparation by gathering relevant legal materials
• Assist in monitoring regulatory changes affecting higher education
• Maintain legal matter files, registers and documentation systems
• Support legal workflow processes and administrative coordination
• Assist with governance and compliance monitoring activities
• Conduct basic legal risk assessments under supervision
• Support scheduling, filing and document management tasks
• Use approved AI assisted legal tools under supervision for research and drafting
• Participate in mentorship sessions and legal training workshops
• Gain exposure to dispute resolution and litigation support processes
Requirements And Skills
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree (NQF 7)
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Excellent written communication and legal drafting ability
• Strong attention to detail and sound legal judgment

• Good organisational and time management skills
