CAXTON MAGAZINES:Selling Sales Manager Opportunity

  • Develop and deliver an advertising sales strategy for assigned teams and magazines
  • Allocate and communicate account information and targets to sales executives
  • Constant liaison with editors and report back to team
  • Compile weekly and monthly comparative analysis, stats analysis and sales reports
  • Project management relating to special promotions, calendar projects, bumper issues and the like
  • Manage a team of sales executives and attend to issues such as monitoring client visits, performance and day-to-day management
  • Monitor contracts and maintain a client base whilst providing the Durban branch and the sales division as a whole, with exceptional service, information and feedback



  • Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Management
  • Minimum three years’ account management/media executive/advertising sales
  • Excellent understanding of print media sales
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced computer literacy especially on MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s licence and own transport
  • Willing to travel, socialise and network – sometimes outside of office hours
