Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Health Merchandiser to join their team at North Cape Mall in Kimberley, Northern Cape. Job Description
As a Health Merchandiser, you will be responsible for maintaining high merchandising standards throughout the store while ensuring shelves are fully stocked, products are correctly labelled, and customers receive excellent service. Your role will support store operations by ensuring that the sales floor is well-organised and product displays are consistently appealing and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Restock and rotate merchandise as needed
- Ensure correct placement and visibility of products on shelves
- Maintain full product availability throughout trading hours
- Build and maintain merchandising displays and promotional stands
- Ensure products are properly labelled with accurate pricing
- Support in-store stocktakes and assist with general stockroom duties
- Keep assigned areas tidy and visually appealing at all times
- Attend to customer queries related to product location and availability
- Assist with back shopping and resolving stock issues on the shop floor
Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Up to 6 months of retail experience
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Willing and able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy boxes
- South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records
- Resides near or has reliable transport to North Cape Mall
Advantageous:
- Diploma or degree in a health-related field
- 1 year of retail or merchandising experience
- Knowledge of FMCG merchandising standards
- Familiarity with SAP, Unisolv, and ZMORE reporting systems
- Product knowledge in the health and wellness category
- Ability to speak more than one South African language
