Safety, Health & Environment Best Practice
- Implement safety awareness and reinforce safe working practices through regular safety meetings, on-the-job safety training and modeling the relevant safety behavior
- Drive compliance to Kenmare Health, Safety & Environment, and environmental licensing & permitting requirements by implementing appropriate practices, standards and procedures;
Optimal mobile vehicles and equipment availability
- Review mobiles maintenance plan and mining plan for specific weekly and monthly mobile maintenance objectives
- Plan and allocate available resources in order to achieve set weekly and monthly mobile maintenance objectives
- Troubleshoot, plan and implement any corrective action to re-align mobile maintenance efforts
Optimal utilisation of equipment and resources
- Review mobiles maintenance plan and available equipment and identify best maintenance timeframe
- Liaise with Mining Function, Departments and specifically the Engineering Planning on the maintenance plan and collaboratively develop a preventative mobiles maintenance plan
- Monitor and measure progress against the routine mobiles maintenance plan
Cost efficiency of the Department
- Budget by weighing up costs, risks and potential returns on expenditure related to workforce, materials, equipment, infrastructure and technology
- Keep within budget constrains for an annual period and minimize expenditure
- Effectively manage contractor/ service provider relationships, and budgets associated with special projects
You will be based on the Mine, living in the Camp. There are no schools, shops, banks, etc. In the Camp there is a Network Internet small shop, a bar, a gym recently equipped and it’s close to the beach. There is Duty rotation at the Company cost.
