Role Overview
The Control Room Operator Lead manages the monitoring centre operations, responding to emergency and non-emergency signals, and coordinating with Response and Patrol resources. The position requires adherence to company policies, effective communication, and attention to detail in all administrative and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Monitor and respond to emergency and non-emergency signals.
• Contact premises, clients, and key holders as required.
• Record all relevant information accurately in the system.
• Report incidents and accidents to the senior on duty.
• Complete all administrative work related to handled signals.
• Monitor vehicle violations and update timesheets.

Computers and Equipment Management

• Report equipment faults to the appropriate authority.
• Ensure company telephones are used only for official purposes.
• Comply with safety and zero-harm standards.

Monitoring Centre Maintenance

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Client Liaison

• Provide telephonic assistance for client issues or complaints.
• Update client information, including holiday instructions.
• Report faulty alarm systems through proper channels.
• Record and report potential sales leads.

General Duties

• Maintain sound knowledge of all operational responsibilities.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions.
• Uphold company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Meet service level agreements and performance targets.
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) required.
• Grade C PSIRA registration.
• Entry-level experience in security or monitoring is acceptable.
