UCT SERVICE :Graduate Recruitment Coordinator

Job description

In striving to maintain its leading position in South Africa, the University of Cape Town Careers Service invites applications to fill the above position. The graduate recruitment coordinator, reporting directly to head: employer relations is responsible for the operational and administration coordination and delivery of Employer Relations activities at UCT Careers Service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operational and administration coordination
  • Event planning and organisation
  • Employer liaison and networking
  • Information management and marketing
  • System management
  • Financial administration

Normal office hours are between 8am and 5pm. Overtime will be required during peak periods.

Requirements

Key requirements include:

  • A Bachelor Degree or a three year diploma in a business related discipline or a relevant professional qualification at NQF level 7
  • Minimum of three years experience in developing relationships with stakeholders
  • Minimum of three years experience in developing, delivering and evaluating small and large scale promotional/exhibition type events
  • Experience of developing corporate/organizational communications/public relations materials and copywriting/editing, promotional writing
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in managing client related services
  • Knowledge of database management with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics CRM or any CRM application and proven ability to use these to develop and manage customer relationships
  • Sound financial administration skills and experience.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills to include proven large scale event management skills
  • Proven ability to be innovative and be able to multitask on a significant large scale.
  • Experience in marketing, public relations, business development and fundraising
  • Exceptional communication (written and oral) ,networking, negotiation and interpersonal skills in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment
  • Proven track record of being effective as a team member with good time management and delivery of deadlines on time
  • Must be able to undertake travel locally, nationally and internationally (as appropriate)
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills including an ability to analyse statistics
