Remuneration: Depending on skills/experience R10.000 – R15.000 per month with sales commission structure

We are a business that has grown from a need within the Global Mobility space to offer short term property to the corporate market across the continent of Africa. Our clients are large multi-national companies who are expanding their businesses into Africa.

MyResidence.Africa is offering a position in a new role in our Africa Team as our business grows.

The role covers two areas of responsibility:

Sales Support & Guest Liaison

Firstly, we are wanting to expand our direct client base and require a focused incumbent to identify and follow our sales pipeline who will also work with the current Business Development Manager to take MyResidence to the next level.

The second element to the role is Guest Liaison
In this capacity the successful candidate will engage with our guests prior to their booking, during their stay and when they depart. The successful candidate will also be required to engage with our property partners ensuring they are prepared for the hosting of our guests and will be required to respond to any queries or requests. These will range from support to booking extensions. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests and will triage escalations and ensure we deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

The successful candidate will also be able to grow the business through meeting travel managers across Africa who will have the need to send their guests to corporate style accommodation across the continent.

  • Strong administration experience, with a focus on data entry
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • The ability to work well individually as well as within a team
  • Develop and execute sales strategy to optimize results from existing network and incoming leads
  • Prospect into a network of potential guests through targeted outreach and marketing campaigns
  • Convert prospective guests to clients, and ensure their repeat business, year after year
  • Influence our clients to travel to new destinations and have MyResidence arrange their events and retreats
  • Effectively prioritize and balance outbound and inbound sales activities
  • Respond to all incoming leads, questions, and comments in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Follow up with guests and successfully move them through the sales pipeline
  • Develop a personalised understanding of each guest’s travel needs
  • Plan and recommend travel options that best suit the needs of the guest
  • Provide impeccable service to all guests and potential guests of the company
  • Record all client information and sales activity into our system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree: Hotel Management, Business Administration, Communications or applicable to position preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience; association with luxury brands, travel sector, or high-end hospitality
  • Experience with CRM
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Previous inside sales / customer service responsibility highly desired
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Successful track record in exceeding sales quotas
  • Operates with a sense of urgency and strives for higher standards
  • Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate guest needs
  • Effective time management skills
